Who cares what stupid animals think?

This is another episode that I don't particularly like. Infact, it just might be my least favorite episode of all.

Story by Jon Colton Barry

Director Zac Moncrief

This time, Phineas and Ferb build a machine that translates animal speak. They wanted to use it on Perry, to find out what his prolific 'GGLGHGGKK' sound means in english. According to thier mom, it means "You guys are the gratest". Of course, the formula requires Perry to fuck off before they can accomlish this, leaving them to use the machine on other animals. Thats when things get bad.
There is NOTHING interesting or clever about the animals, they sound EXACTALLY the way you think they should. For me, that is a complete let down; Phineas and Ferb is usually much more ambitious in handling my expectations.
This provides an oppritunity for some guest stars, though. Tara Strong plays a bird that sounds just like Timmy Turner, and Tom Kenny is a squirrel who wants the kids to "Nut" him.
Meanwhile, Perry has to stop Doofenshmirtz from flooding town, in attempt to capitalize on "BO-ATs". It's mostly just Doof and Perry meessing around in the woods, a couple acronym gags, and a shot at Venice California. I've noticed in this period of the show that Kim and Antoine sure like to set Doofenshmirtz subplots in heavily forrested settings. Whats up with that? It's not a bad thing, just a weird coincidence.

The rest of the episode, including the musical number, is just Candace getting chased by the animals after she insults them. It's not very funny. They get Candace to scream "Animals hate me!", which is sorta funny. When the song comes up, they play the "Lyrics dissonance" card, and make things ironic. Antoine Guilbad draws some funny facial exporessions in here though, so I guess it's not a total loss.
At the end of the episode, Mom shows up, and isn't the least bit shocked or surprised that there is a large piece of recording equipment in the yard. As for Candace, she enjoys a "Fairytale ending". No sir, I didn't like it.

You can check it out if you want, I won't stop you; and you might like it, too, this is only my opinion.

You topped my entrance!

Holy crap, this has got to be one of the best episodes they've put out yet! Excellent in every way.

Director Jay Lender

This episode does a much better job parodying Indiana Jones than the earlier "Where's my mummy?" which is sort of aimless in comparison. Every part of the Phineas and Ferb is creativley and cleverly composited into the setting, especially Canadce, who is a news reporter out to get a scoop on the next adventure for Ohio Flynn and Rhode Island Fletcher; he editor is Mom, of course. Buford and Baljeet run the boat, and Lawrence works at a restaurant.

This time, we get to see Doofenshmirtz as a direct enemy to Phineas and Ferb, which is an interesting change, from his usual indirect inept influence. Perry has his moments too, including having to wear a Fez hat(He gets it from a 'FEZ dispenser', and it quickly forms its own running gag), and having his theme song performed by a bunch of dancing girls.

You should deffinatley check this one out. It more than makes up for its topical humour and refferences. And Perry has dancing girls!

Hello and Welcome!

Hi Everybody! This is your ol' buddy Zartok-35, back again with more blogging action. It seems the internet is lacking a blog that reviews Phineas and Ferb episodes, which is no good at all, so I'd like to remedy that problem. I have plenty of qualifications! I'm a very passionate Phineas and Ferb viewer; I've seen every episode, most of them twice.

For those who don't know, Phineas and Ferb is an amazing TV show made for Disney by two fine geniuses named Dan Povenmire and Swampy Marsh, and their friends. It's about two kids named, of all things, Phineas and Ferb, and the amazing ways they find to enjoy their summer months away from school. They have a pet Platypus named Perry, and several other eccentric friends and acquaintances. There is also Doctor Heinz Doofenshmirtz, a megalomaniacal Scientist/Pharmacist who is absolutely hilarious! It's the funniest show on TV today.

My goal for this here blog is to review every episode of the show, which shouldn't be too hard. How does an episode a week sound? That's the frequency I'm going to shoot for.
So if you should feel so inclined, stick around and enjoy some Phineas and Ferb evaluations!
